Natural Medicine Today The world is reawakening to the profound insights and expertise of the ancient medical arts and practices in relieving suffering and restoring wellness. These traditions see illness and healing as a natural process with natural solutions. By understanding the physical and spiritual condition of a patient, physicians discover ways to assist in restoring health through balance. Proven to be efficient, effective and affordable, natural medicine can be of real value to people seeking health. Tibetan Medicine in America The Tibetan medical system is one of the world's oldest medical traditions. It is an integral part of Tibetan culture and has been developed through many centuries. Tibetans believe that the origin of the Tibetan medical tradition is as old as civilization itself. For centuries at home in the Land of the Snows, Tibetan medicine is now becoming available around the world. Men-Tsee-Khang-Hawaii
KNHA supports the Mission of Men-Tsee-Khang, the Tibetan Medical and Astro Institute in Dharamsala, India, with the long term aim of developing a branch operated by their physicians here in Hawaii. Our first project was to bring two senior doctors here in 2002 when they delivered to over 30 students a five day course as an overview of Tibetan medicine. We assisted the doctors during their 12 day visit in offering personal consultations and herbal supplements and were pleased to note the high degree of interest in Tibetan medicine. If you are interested in learning more about Tibetan medicine, scheduling a personal consultation from the doctors when they are here or becoming a student of Tibetan medicine please contact us.
You may also contact our friends at the Medicine Buddha Healing Center in Spring Green, Wisconsin as they have a Tibetan doctor in residence. For more information visit; http://www.medicinebuddhahealing.org/
For instruction in Tibetan medicine we are pleased to refer you Shang Shung Institute of America in Massachusetts. For more information visit; http://www.shangshung.org/
